Meldric's 18th, black with shades

Attended Mel's 18th birthday party.
The theme was Mafia so we all had to wear black, with shades.
As usual we bring out the card and alcohol game, buffet, some gathering, etc.
Took a number of pictures too.
Each one of us have a Polaroid picture taken and pasted to the board.
Memories are the most precious gift.
& almost like tradition, our clique gave him $ as his birthday present.
A big red packet.

Hehehe I finally uploaded my photo story video.
(Below is the interpretation of my photo story)

Featuring my pretty girl, Maisie Chew;


In this photo story I'm attempting on the theme of Dreams & Reality.
The title Rêves et réalité is a translation of that in French.
The photo story is about this girl who read a book and fell asleep, thus dreaming that she's inside the storybook.

There's also an underlying message to this storyline I've created.

The girl awakes in the forest with a mask on.
This symbolizes how everyone in reality wears a mask.
No matter how hypocritical or true you are, believe me, all of us wears mask.
We hide our true self and act indifferently when we're with different people or places.

When she takes off the mask she embraces her true-self and is in her 'happy place'.
A remote place where everything is beautiful and true.
That place is everyone's heaven. No one can enter the realm.
It's a place we don't have to hide our true feelings.

However, not all that glitters are gold.
& You can't keep escaping, you have the face reality sooner or later.
The girl eventually feels alone in that remote place.
She's tired and time is running out for her.
She have to wake up sooner or later.

Her world falls apart and everything goes upside down.
Before she knew, she's back to reality.
Back in the library, where everything
Is just but a dream.

Need to learn time-management :(

3rd July 10 -Yan

My sis's long and fuzzy fringe is an unsightly mess.
So I decided to cut it for her last midnight, in my room.
It was a rather impromptu decision but we've talking about how much cuter she is in her old hairstyle.

She wanted to have bangs again too.
It turned out pretty alright~
everyone says it looks better though I doubt my skill.
It's not very even so I told her to go to the salon when it grows longer!

Send her off to tuition the next morning.
